WRECKS
WRECKS WRECKS - One of the main reasons divers come to
dive around Cornwalls convoluted shore line is its long association
with smuggling and wrecks. Much of this maritime history still
lies upon the seabed waiting for you to explore. Go to the wrecks
page to see just some of the numerous wrecks available to dive
around the Lizard peninsula. Take a look at some of the amazing
artefacts discovered by Lizard Diver members, and learn how you
can visit these historical sites.
SHORE
DIVING AND BOAT LAUNCHING - although some parts of the Cornish
coast have difficult access, there are a safe shore dives well
worth a visit. Boats can be launched from several of the beaches
& harbours around The Lizard.
REEF
AND DRIFT DIVING - Wrecks are not the only reason divers come
to Cornwall - strong tidal currents running along the coast provide
a rich source of food for marine and plant life. In places, the
variety and density of marine life has to be seen to be believed.
Why not harness the power of these tidal streams and 'hitch a
lift' - undertake a drift dive around the Lizard coast on the
flood tide - an experience to remember!
BASKING
SHARKS - the early summer of 1999 saw the UK go Basking
Shark crazy as large numbers of these incredible animals swam
in the shallow waters off Kennack Sands - why not get a ringside
seat for this summer's possible encounter...
ACCOMMODATION
- if you would like to take part in any of the above, or try our
certificated courses see the accommodation page for details about
where to stay in South West Cornwall. Whether you prefer a tent
or a luxury hotel we have the answers. Great off-season rates
are normally available.
If you want a diving & accommodation package arranging let

adventures await. From the absolute beginner to the technical
diving rebreather user there's diving action to suit you! Fantastic
scenic & drift diving around Cornwalls varied coastline with
probably some of the best underwater visibility and marine life

for diving the area. If you wish to do a shipwreck diving course
